I guess you have to sign in to your HobbyKing account to read those messages. Here is a copy of the first one that states the status:

It's starting to look permanent for Hong Kong Post.
That means alot of small eBayers and other stores that dont have the capacity to ship out via private courier will be attempting time and time again to post their lipo's only to have them returned a week or two later.
You're going to see alot of HK/CN vendors stop selling Lipo's in the coming weeks/Months as they work out that it's not getting through.

We are now doing the following;
1) We have charged two private courier companies with the task of shipping our products out. Bypassing Hong Kong Post.\

2) We have already sent 2 containers of Lipoly to Germany and next week 1 container to Seattle (the location of our new warehouse to be).

3) Customers who buy Lipo from as now will have them shipped via the Private couriers.

4) In future you will have a greater selection of Lipo from USA (Seattle) or DE (Hamburg) warehouses.

5) We are changing tracking system pages this week and next to better reflect the new services.

In the end you're going to get your batteries at the same price, but with faster shipping and less customs issues.

Thanks Rick, for the above posting. I did log into my HK account but could not seem to access that info.

It sounds like the problem is being well addressed by HK, with setting up the Seattle warehouse...unless of course the problem just shifts to the US. I guess they will figure a way around it, there is too much at stake not to solve it quickly.

Thanks, Curtis. That is a good site with plenty of interesting info..... everything from this bit on LIPOs from HK, to Matt Hall dipping his wheels in the water while racing in Ontario, to dealing with the cloned Spektrum receivers. Hmmm... I need to order more batteries, so I'm not sure what the best thing to do is. From what I've read, if you keep your battery size low, below 2200 mAh, you may get one or two past the detection. I may try that route, just to get a couple more at least.

AC

after edit.. Thanks for the correction, Bill! I fixed my mistake so that it wouldn't be forever recorded on the Internet. :)

Hi AC,
Correction needed above...it was Matt HALL who dipped his wheel pant into the Detroit River on the weekend during qualification for Red Bull Racing. Ripped the pant right off..!
That's as about as close to the water that you want to get I guess. Needless to say, he did not compete in the upcoming race event..!

Here's the latest news from HobbyKing on shipping:

"Air transport delay, now resolved.
The previous weeks airport delays were due to increased parcel screening. Thankfully these delays are now behind us and we can focus on clearing the order backlog.
For those customers with a parcel thats not showing a tracking number correctly, or non at all, please do not be concerned, this may be due to a shortage in EMS/Air Parcel forms.
Because of this, your parcel may arrive before the tracking numbers register on the website.

We plan to be back to 24hr ship-out times within 2 days.
Thanks again for your patience and understanding during this period. "

You will see this when you log into your account.

My order, including 2 Lipos was ordered May 30, shipped June 4, and just surfaced in Ville St. Laurent customs on June 17th. The shipment never was traceable on Hong Kong Post. I'm hoping they hit Bedford by Friday.
