What a fantastic day at SP enjoying the challenges and comradery of this great hobby!! Good turn-out. Lots of flying. Good to see some successful maiden flights - Bill with his Habu (what a floater!); Paul with his Timber (what great piloting!). Thanks to Rhoady for helping Kevin with the trimming of his Albatros too. Thanks to Chris for helping to launch my F-16 too... always a challenge! Great supportive group!
While there were lots of activities... these are just a few pics that were captured.
Tomorrow is looking great too.... great weekend!

Just three of us, Chris Dean, Kevin Baker and me.
Winds were about 20 to 30 km from the South and were perfect for medium weight models. Kevin Baker flew his ZAGI and Weasel wings, Chris had his Aerobatic AHI and I flew my purple Magellan full house sailplane. No photos this time.
I really can't figure out why more people don't try slope soaring. Depending on the type of model and wind speed , it can be as exciting as wild aerobatics and speed to light wind floating. Many of the models flown at Shannon are suited well to slope soaring so don't be afraid to try them on the slope.
