John Hatt passed away today.
From Greg on Facebook
It's with an extremely heavy heart I have to announce the passing of my dad. He was an amazing man, my best friend and shaped my life in a major way. I am going to miss him so much. Love you dad

Wow..real sorry to hear that John has passed. He sold my first RC model to my wife (a Sig Citabria) as my Xmas present in 1975..!
I made many a daily trip to the Scotia Square Hobby Shop in my seven years of maintaining the elevators at the towers.
Rest in peace, John..! You were the best control-line pilot that I ever witnessed..!

My condolences to Greg and the entire family.
John was a great RC flyer and he was always willing to help young and old.
One of our true local Nova Scotia RC pioneers....without a doubt!
He will be greatly missed by all

A sad day indeed. John was a lifelong credit to our wonderful hobby in so many ways.
He was not merely an RC flier, as he embraced all aspects of the hobby and was well known for his deep interest and support for Control Line Aerobatics class. Condolences to Greg and the Hatt family.
