Real Flight Sim - HEFA SP
For those who may be interested, I've just uploaded a downloadable airport file for HEFA Shannon Park at the Real Flight Swap Pages site. Search for 'HEFA SP'.
The shrubbery around the field is collidable, as is the infamous tree! It's my first iteration. Possible future versions may include more detail and more collidable objects, eg the school and the power lines.
Comments/suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks.
Tim

Fantastic job!! So glad you made the infamous tree collidable. Maybe slamming into it 100 times in RF9.5 will desensitize my fears of flying into it with my real planes hahaha!
Really fun flying this map! Thanks again Tim!

Thanks for the positive comments.
Working on the next, more accurate version.
I'll let you know when it's ready for download.

Re: Real Flight Sim - HEFA SP
The airport file has been updated. Look for HEFA SP_2.
- More accurate (infamous) tree and field edge locations
- Grass vs hard surface, for more realistic takeoff/landing rolls
- Two collidable telephone poles added
Possibly more updates to come

Neato! I had forgotten, but years ago, I made simple scenery for Lawrencetown in the FMS flight sim. Fly low, and there's a few familiar faces on the hill. There's no wind, so no ridge lift or DSS dynamics, just visuals and solid ground for crashing into, oops, I mean landing on -

Very cool!
I also hope to soon create a downloadable airport for the Lawrencetown location.
Ideally, for the panorama jpg, the grass area should be mowed. Can anyone advise if it has been mowed recently?
Thanks.

You are welcome to any files that I have - the crucial image that was given to me (by Johnny O maybe?) was a high-res aerial shot that I overlayed with a blurred topographic map image for elevation, and maybe some google maps, then constructed/inserted MacDonald House and some shots of ourselves onto the hill. so long ago... memory fading...
