SPIRI

Designed by Patrick Edwards-Doherty and firm Pleides from Halifax,

Dalhousie University is helping to expand its uses at sea for ocean research.

Apparently it will be built in Nova Scotia and retail for about $575

They are running trials on it near the grain elevator in the south end....

Nice to see some local talent at work.
3 point landing! 3/100 that is.

Yes they had a Kickstarter to raise funds. Interesting project and nice to see it local.
I'm not convinced however it has a place in the current market for the price and size of it. Lot of competition already selling similar products. But time will tell if it can differentiate itself and find a place.

Very interesting !

I think I did some work in the space where they are working from. It looks so familiar.

This technology is gaining some serious momentum. What other discoveries will be made in the further development of these machines.
