The 18650s are available online at many vendors but the capacity ratings seem suspect to me. Anywhere from 2000mAhr to 4000mAhr is common.

MSC have them (or did have them) in-stock and I had also ordered a box of 6 while on sale for various flashlights and the like.

The radio sounds like a capable system!

Hey Brian, good to hear from you!

I have read that counterfeiting is pretty rife in the world of 18650 cells. There's a popular commenter on RCGroups called Bob AZ who runs a business called Bob's Batteries; he often interjects into any discussion of 18650 cells to emphasize that his batteries are real, and that 14000mAh cell you found on Banggood is actually just a rebranded duracell.

Definitely something to keep in mind. Good to hear that MSC has them; I always try to give them business when they have the thing I want.
