Are you happy with your subgram scale from DX? I've been looking for a precision scale to go with my Starfrit.

Walmart has had the 5 KG starfrit scale from time to time at $10.00 - $15.00. I got one I think for 9.99 last fall.

My 300g '"drug scale" came from The Source a few years ago. I use it a lot to weigh everything from battery packs to wing ribs. They still have scales for $30.00
if I was buying a new one I would try to find a 600 or 1000g size. I run out of capacity at 300 g or about 10.4 oz

Also the "drug" store on Isleville street has scales of the smaller capacity but very expensive compared to online.

On e-bay search on "American Weigh" and there are lists of scales at modest prices. Or for best prices search on 'digital pocket scale' with good ones for less than$15.00

Canadian Tire has the NEW Starfrit scales on sale until 26th for $9.99
This is an excellent scale and nobody should be without one.
I have two now, one for the workshop and one for the kitchen.
the new one is very slim compared with the older version.

The Battery in the new one is CR2032.
The older model used 9v Alkaline.
