Might exceed the weight limit for Shannon. What is the weight of the plane?

Can someone point me to the weight guideline for HEFA?

..page 2, item 4, Jim, weight limit for the SHANNON field is 6 pounds.

Yup, the big Citabria is at least 10 lbs.

Thanks Bill.

On the web site in the About US page, I seem to recall that that pdf file was listed there. Or have I lost it and was dreaming that it was there?

If it wasn't, and it is not now, maybe it could be considered that the About Us page would have a submenu. That submenu page could include other things in it, such as the membership application form, a link to a MAAC application form, the HEFA field rules, MAAC field rules etc. Maybe even a page listing other clubs in the Maritimes and their web sites. All of that information is fairly static so maintaining those pages would not be a big deal. Make them once and likely change less than once a year. Anyway just an idea. It is important for existing members as well as new or potential members to know the rules and find them when they need a refresher. Having them on the web site would also show that the club is serious about getting rules information out to people and that the club has a real interest in following them.

Anyhow, it was great to get a copy again of the field rules, but maybe they should be on the web site where they can be found quicker.

Well, presently we have TWO ways for members to know the Rules and Regulations under which HEFA operates.

The first is a thread posted in the forum..HEFA News and Notes..which is found here, (at the bottom of the page,) viewforum.php?f=26 and carries the subtitle of "anything pertaining to HEFA only" or words to that effect.

The second method is that a Rules sheet is given to each new member upon joining. We have been somewhat lax in doing this in the past, but some months ago I started attaching this sheet to each application I gave out, to be retained by the applicant. It's still not perfect, but it's getting better.

What I could do is speak to the webmaster and have the Rules & Regs made a "sticky" so it remains near the top of the HEFA News forum, similar to what we did with the website rules.
