E-Flite ultra micro 4 site

Unread post by Madwood » Fri Mar 19, 2010 10:48 am

Not sure if the rest of you got an email from RC Wings but he has the EFlite 4 Site for $139.99 or $172.99 same day courier to Dartmouth taxes and delivery included. I have looked at Great hobbies and Hobby Hobby and they both list it for at least $175 plus taxes and delivery.

By the way I ordered one this morning expecting it after lunch.

I won't be doing anything fancy at the start, I read the plane was quite durable regardless I have some foamsafe CA. Can't wait to try it out, have you tried it outside? i realise it only weighs 1.5 ozs but it seems to have quite a bit of get up and go.

I've only flown it outside once. Wasn't impressed. You need a windless day obviously.

It has great power for aerobatic flight, marginal for hovering if you're into that.

however, using ca to repair it (and you will) it quickly gets heavier. Mine is noticeably less aggressive in a loop now due to the added weight. got about 12 hours on it though.

Quite durable is subjective. I've had a lot of fun with this airplane at the indoors this winter, but it's getting ragged from repairs. It will not take any medium/hard bang as the other indoor foamies will. Flying in a gym, even just tooling around, occasional contact with the interior is inevitable. Even handling as in placing/removing the battery pack needs caution to avoid damage.

flies wonderfully though and looks superb in the air!
