New Messerschmitt Bf-109G BNF by ParkZone

Unread post by Ghost Flyer » Thu Aug 13, 2009 11:22 am

Hi Murray and Marc,

Could this be up your ally? With optional flaps, it's looking pretty mean! :)

With all these P-51's and Spitfires flying around, I might just have to get one of these and put a cap into someone's tail feathers!.lol

AC180
ps. available in late September

Well, I said I would buy all of the upgraded ParkZone warbirds as they were released. I find it odd though that they included landing gear on this one and not the P-51. The motor is different as well. Also, this plane is more expensive than the BNF P-51. I wonder what drives ParkZone's decisions.

Anyway Andrew, you buy this one first... and I'll take it for a spin to see if I like it as much as the P-51. When the ParkZone Spit comes out, Marc can buy that one... so I can take a spin in it for the same reason!!!!

Here's the PNP version... same price as the BNF P-51. I'll probably get this one since I have about 15 compatible RXs (6 of them are AR500s)

Correction, this one comes with a pre-installed rudder. I had to pay extra for the rudder servo for the P-51. It cost about $20.00 taxes included. So, the Bf-109 is the same price, plus, you get the flap option, landing gear, and 3 blade prop!

A closeup look at the soon to be released BF-109G. Listen to the "jerk" in the background making comments about 190s as this young fella shows off this 109. There's "one' in every crowd I guess!

The Bf-109 has been released... In the States at least. Here is an RCgroups link...

Picked mine up at RCWings this evening... what a beauty. It is about the same size/weight as the Corsair. The landing gear wheels are huge (from and back). Good for grass takeoffs I'm guessing. The three blade prop is very cool looking.

I just have to solder a Deans plug to the ESC, bind it, align the control services and she will be ready for her maiden. Oh, don't bother bringing any "Allied" warbirds to the field... you "will not" leave in one piece!!!!
