I can't remember where I read it, but I think the colour(s) are correct for this particular squadron. They were formed near the end of the war to protect those early jets on the ground, taking off, and landing. The red stripes were used to help German anti-aircraft batteries distinguish them from the allied planes.retiredVTT wrote:Nice..quite the color scheme...guess it's not exactly "scale" coloring..

Purdy!
Hmmm... 2 kills shy of being a Tripple Ace! Not bad Andrew!
Can you purchase scale guns for this model Andrew?

Marc,
Thanks for taking her up this morning , nice to see her in the air. Now I have to get my nerve up to fly her myself.

Don't worry Andrew, just get Marc to test fly it 3 more times. That's what I do... and all the while, just keep repeating the following in his ear as you stand next to him... "But is it trimed for "slow" flight? But will "I" be able to fly it trimmed like that?"

Re: Alfa Spitfire Vb
Trimming does tend to depend on how you like to fly. I try for 'middle of the road', But as long as it can fly 'hands' free you can tone up/down the deflections.
I would have loved to do a low slow flyby for better pics, but I thought it best to keep a safe height for Andrews nerves
