Another Wednesday coming up tomorrow...more fun and games at the Valley venue, hopefully..!
Waiting for the email from Jeremy, that it's a GO..!
Seems like every Wednesday the weather gods throw us a decent travel day, so it's hard not to take advantage..!

Later Edit ..just heard from Jeremy (via Mexico..!) Yes..it's a GO Wednesday..!

There were ten flyers (roughly) today for the indoor Valley event, which gave everybody lots of space.

Lots of rain and considerable fog on the return drive, but still better than the white stuff..!

Three flyers from the Metro area.

Yet another Wednesday coming up with a decent weather forecast (this will be five..!) so I'm looking at heading to the big venue in Kentville for another play date with my Twisted Hobby pair.

Good way to bring in the month of February!

Another good crowd of 19 flyers today. Six again from Metro.
Great drive up...a lot different returning as the furries had started around 3pm.
So at 4pm I beat her for home and it was not too bad until I reached St Croix, when the front end did a little jig, and I back off the gas peddle.
Going through Bedford was the slowest..20Kph..apparently the Bi-Hi was a mess so drivers bailed and came through Bedford.

Happy February 1st...!

Anyone ever go to the South Shore RC club's indoor flying sessions? It's about the same distance as Kentville and it's the same cost. I might pop down tomorrow for a look.

I have not been, but would be interested to know how the size of the facility compares.

Please post a report if you do go.

Glad I checked before I headed out this morning as the event was cancelled and rescheduled for the 12th. Even though I didn't get to go I did look up their facility. They use the HB Studios Sports Centre in Bridgewater. It's a multipurpose indoor sports field. The website says it's 100' x 200' covered with indoor field turf, so it's not quite as large as Kentville which is 120’ X 220’, but the height looks about the same. Since I didn't go I don't know how many typically show up to fly, but it does provide another venue.

Here's a link to the facilities' website.

And, here's a link to the South Shore RC Club's schedule. They seem to only fly every couple of weeks.

Weather for tomorrow, Wednesday Feb 8th, is looking quite messy...snow changing to freezing rain, to rain....between 6am and noon.

Can't say right now if I'll make the trip tomorrow, will decide in the late morning..
