HEFA Ground School - radio mixes class anyone?

Unread post by Ghost Flyer » Thu Apr 19, 2012 12:40 pm

Hi Folks,

We are considering putting on a one night clinic, on how to program a few mixes in your programmable radio for optimal settings. If there is enough interest, we will organize the class soon. Likely, it will be held on a weeknight, at the Atlantic Superstore, on Portland Street, in the Woodlawn area.

If you are interested in this, please post a message here, letting us know. The class will be free.

Some of the programming mixes we are thinking about are:

Wing Types:
Elevons
Flaperons
Dual servo ailerons

Aerobatics:
Hovering your 3D plane
Knife edge

Helicopters:
Throttle cut and hold
Some Heli settings are good for fixed wings too!

Thanks,
Andrew
PS..Call me slow, but I just figured out that this [HEFA "RC University] topic is the place to post HEFA Ground School information...

This is great.... The list is growing slowly, but surely. I'm definitely up for attending this seminar. We'll let it sit a bit longer and see how many more sign up. Besides that, Rick, our presenter for this seminar, is waiting on getting his Spektrum radio returned from Horizon Hobby.

i was waiting to see how many responded too - i think i will come just for the fun as i don't currently have anything that i have trouble mixing, but it's always nice to learn something new for the future.

Count me in. I learn a lot just talking with guys before and after the presentations. I'm expecting Rick to show me where the "No Crash" switch is, "automatic hover" and "wind negation" settings are. That plus the coffee and Oreo's, free, what could be better!
