Thanks Tom13, Have a great trip and take a photo or two of those magnificent planes..!
We are going to try and squeeze in a couple flights Saturday in between large pockets of rain.

Re: Shannon Field - 2015 Mowing
I took advantage of the nice morning to get out and mow the field. I think that might be the last time we have to do it this year!
Hopefully the winds hold off in the mornings this weekend so we can get in some decent flying - if not bring your kites !

Thanks again Tom14, I hope we can get out Saturday. Sunday looks like we will be frozen out, with a 4 degree daytime high..!

Re: Shannon Field - 2015 Mowing
Thank-You in advance Bill!! It is not until the end of May though!
All flying shut down here but hopefully we will open up again, once golf courses are able to open up ( June 2nd). I was only able to get out flying once (4 flights) so far this year. I fly out of Dunrobin approx. 30 min from my place. Great bunch of Guys, as there is everywhere you go with this sport!
My latest build is a Pilot Edge 540 22% - 67 inch wingspan, Rimfire 1.20 450KV motor, Castle 100 amp esc, 6 cell 5500 battery and a 17 X 8 prop. This is as big as I can go and still get it in my vehicle. Its a beautiful flyer and challenges my skills.
Still flying Heli's as well with five completed in the hangar and two to build! Always a challenge to fly and keep your heart rate up until it Stops!
I often find myself on the HEFA site trying to keep in touch with what is going on at Shannon Pk. The pictures everyone posts are very interesting and informative. Looks to be many new faces in attendance which is good for the club. I enjoy seeing photos of the old regulars as well. ( I see Tyrone's truck in some of the pictures. I miss having someone to go on a Tim's run!)
I continue to enjoy Al Eastman's monthly news letter which is always interesting and brings back memories of the Great People I met in the Atlantic Zone!
Say Hello to everyone and hopefully when I can travel back to Halifax ,I will drop in and pay you all a visit.

Re: Shannon Field - 2015 Mowing
Great to hear from you Tom, I had noticed your "birthday month" posted on the Avon site. Wow, your Edge540 is a good size; I have one from Tower Hobbies with about a 51" wing. I went with a "BadAss" motor and 5S pack and hope to maiden it this year.
Next Winter's build will be a Hangar9 Katana that has been under to bench for several years. I hope to run a 6S system in it that Randy from RC Dude suggested to me, after I asked him to put together an "insane power system" for it. His figures were 74 amps, 1635 watts, (252 watts per pound in a 6.5 lb. plane), 213 oz thrust, with 15/7 prop on a Bad Ass 3530/570KV motor. I think he enjoyed answering my request!
Take care Tom, stay Safe..!
