Virtual Freq Board
I saw Moncton RC Club had a virtual Freq Board and I thought that might be useful also for our guys. This way you could tell which other flyer has same frequency/frequencies on 27 or 72 MHz and pay particular attention if you see them there. I currently have a newer 6 channel 2.4 system (DX6i) and a 7 channel Futaba (7UAF) (72 MHZ - Channel 46 or 72.710) which I intend to fly with aircraft with multi positional flaps or requiring 7 channels versus 6
Here's is what I am talking about - I do not think it would be too difficult to setup (Excel spreadsheet of something) - I could look after it if you want
http://gmac.rcmoncton.org/gmac_members/ ... r_report=4
For those not sure - follow this link to determine your frequency - if you cannot find it with channel number
http://www.futaba-rc.com/faq/frequency.html
Thoughts???

It does help to know who is on your channel so you can look for them at the field. I used to keep track of all who used my channel to ensure there were no conflicts.

Re: Virtual Freq Board
A good idea for sure.
On the HEFA membership form there is a line to include what freq you are operating on and most returned forms have it filled in so we do have the info, we just have not collolated it and posted it.
I should take a look through the forms for the ratio of 2.4ghz vs 72mghz. I believe with this group of flyers it is around 95% 2.4ghz..which explains why we have few problems.

Excellent idea Marc! If you know how to set up the spreadsheet I'd say go for it; "if you build it they will come."

I'll have sheet for our next meeting (6 Nov) and then work with our web master to hang it somewhere

Re: Virtual Freq Board
Following the AGM last night I took the liberty of setting-up a pretty basic HEFA virtual frequency board, using Google docs. It covers the 27, 50, 72 and 75Mhz bands; I didn't bother adding a line for 2.4Ghz in its various forms. Open to suggestions for changes, though, and if our webmaster or the directors wish to take over maintenance or replace it that's fine too.
To share your frequencies add your HEFA number beside your channels on the spreadsheet linked below.

Re: Virtual Freq Board
Nice Chart Dave, but should we not add our name alongside the Channel number..?
I put my number (5) alongside Ch. 26 ...but that doesn't tell anyone who is #5
There is not a published list of our HEFA numbers to tell who from who..!
Maybe there should be.

Re: Virtual Freq Board
Hi Bill -- I amended the column headings to suggest HEFA#, Name and model. Trying to find that tricky balance between online privacy and revealing enough to make it useful... D

Re: Virtual Freq Board
Right on Dave...thanks for this, and thanks to Mark C for getting this going..!
From my list of membership forms and the info contained on them I have added some channel info for other members.
OK you's guys on anything but 2.4Ghz...sign in please..!
