Field mowing

Unread post by karlpenney » Sat May 29, 2010 7:06 pm

The field was in pretty rough shape this morning, so I went over and mowed a bit tonight. I think I got mostly the same area that was done last week. Maybe we can get a few members over one evening each week to do it?

Thanks Karl!

We are going to try to hire someone to cut part of it on Friday afternoons at least for the next 6 weeks or so.

Our President assures me that it will be mowed by Saturday...I believe he is making someone an offer they can't refuse! Of course we may have the weather to deal with on Friday.

Really fantastic mow job done on the field Friday under the directorship of President Chris.

I would hope someone could get some aerial pics of this before it's lost. It will only be lost if some other party decides to mow the entire park which appears NOT to be likely, at least for a few weeks.

This was accomplished by spending club funds and it is definitely worth every penny, as it is the best we have had to date.

Right now it would likely just be chopping dog s**t on the field. But I am sure that your offer will be gratefully accepted when the time comes. A big 38 or 42" cut mower would make short work of the required area. Probably less than an hour if the grass does not get ahead of the mowing.
