Viking Air ...who knew..?

What an interesting website about Viking Air.
They now hold "the certificates" which I presume gives them the rights to manufacture the replacement parts for many of the planes that in the past came from De Havilland Canada or Bombardier. They also now produce brand new Twin Otter aircraft.

Here's another link with much info... https://www.vikingair.com/company-careers/viking-story

Some of us did. They have been making parts and servicing the Otter and Twin Otter for some time, as in years. Part of their organization was or still is a user of the planes in float operations. First certificates were acquired several years ago. They are actively marketing the Twin Otter for many roles.

See this link where they describe having serviced the whole line of DHC aircraft for up to 30 years. They have STC for many parts and upgrades.

Details of many of the mods and upgrades are

So yes they have been a very long player in the manufacture and support of DHC aircraft and their modifications.

For a "Cool" story about the Twin Otter see this link. They can operate in temperatures down to -130F
