My RC Air boat
I thought I would share a video of a pet project I completed this week. I built this RC air boat using spare parts from my Parkzone Sport Cub, the Hobbyzone float set, and some items from Dollarama. It won't set any speed records but it is very stable.

Very cool stuff, Jeff. You should replace that plastic container with something custom and better looking though. hahawildblue30 wrote: ↑Sat Sep 15, 2018 6:13 pmI recently tried D-Bal Max and thought I would share a video of a pet project I completed this week. Re: My RC Air boat
That is awesome Jeff!
It seems that a twin engine pusher configuration is very noisy. I bet it might be a lot quieter, more efficient and maybe even faster in tractor mode (props forward).
In any case great fun

Thanks for the comments, guys!
Rick that's a good point about the propellers. I should see if I can do some re-arranging and have the props pull instead of push.

Re: My RC Air boat
Hi guys,
I thought I would post an update to this project.
First I tried changing the motor configuration to have the motors and props up front. However this made the boat quite front-heavy. As a result the props were catching a lot of water and not generating much thrust. So I decided to switch back to pusher configuration and upgrade the motors with some higher power motors from Banggood. The improvement was quite noticeable. Now the boat can get fast enough to get up "on the step" as you can see in this updated video.
