Weekend - October 8/9/10, 2022

Good to out to the field again... it has been weeks for me. Smaller crowd at SP this morning but good flying... until the fog cloud hit us around 11am. Some interesting activity with Michael's Apprentice... we were buddy boxed and for some reason there was no power but full control otherwise... I would be surprised but I am thinking that maybe I hit the throttle cut.

Tomorrow is looking good weather-wise. I'd planned on getting out but plans are still in a bit of limbo depending on family activities.

It was the first time at the field for a while for me, but what a rewarding experience! I had my Vortex 3 DLG up a few times with some 10min plus flights and a personal best 17.5min flight in strong but hard-to-find thermals.

Conditions are looking good for tomorrow.... hope to see a few people out to enjoy the morning!!

Monday was pretty awesome overall. Decent turnout.

I wanted to welcome new member Tom to HEFA. Tom has been around the club for a while but has made the decision to join MAAC and HEFA. Lots of simulator experience and now we are putting that practice to the test! Our club trainer needs very small stick movements....! Be sure to introduce yourselves.

Also, I wanted to introduce another type of expert flyer to our club. Not sure that he has MAAC though!! LOL.
