Long Weekend - July 1/2/3, 2022

What a whirlwind of a weekend!
Friday looked amazing - light winds and sunny. But (as we all know) there was a temporary suspension of flying at SP. We are lucky and thankful that we have permission to continue using the field and that the final stages of the lease renewal is in the works.
Saturday.... oh Saturday. A little on the windy side. I think that there might have been a few keeners out just the same.
But Sunday... what a great morning!! I was only able to get a few flights of my own but was able to help Michael with three continued training / introductory flights. One with the club Apprentice and two with his own shiny new Apprentice. After binding the new Apprentice to my DX9, we were off to the races. And Michael flew better with his plane than with the club plane. Take-offs... check. Turns... check. Landings... likely a half dozen. Way to go, Michael! Well done! You just need some more stick time and continued work with the glide path for landing. You are doing great!
