I was not out on Saturday but understand that there was a good turn-out.
But Sunday... oh Sunday! What a great day! Very light winds. Great turn-out. Lots of flights and fun to be had. A waiting line for the flight line too... all great! October is a great month here in Nova Scotia!
Nice to get Jamie up in the air again for another training flight. Also - great to provide an introductory flight to young Adam (9 years old) on the Club Apprentice. He was throwing the sticks and the Apprentice was responding nicely. Even a take-off and a landing in SAFE. Way to go, Adam!!
We did have one unfortunate event. Both Murray and myself were low on batteries and had to come in for a landing. I was first and Murray was close behind me. I landed ok and.... so did Murray... on a path that directly impacted my "settled" F-16. It happens. Damage to both planes but repairable.
We had a new visitor to the field too... per Chris D a young red-tail hawk.
A few pictures coming...
