Hi everyone,
It was nice to get out to the field on a weekend morning and see things returning to something close to normal.
Here is some video footage I captured of Bill's Turbo Timber Evolution maiden flight from my Bugs 3 drone.

Cool! Thanks for sharing. Was that a biplane in the video?
It was a great morning at SP today. Managed to grab a few shots from the quadcopter. The pathways are really filling in...!

Today was also the planned sloping at Lawrencetown. Tim has shared a few pictures (thanks) which are below.
Unfortunately... fog seemed to be on the menu although that did not stop the "diehards" participating in this event!!! Looks like a lot of fun!

A good weekend indeed. Big turnout at Shannon on Saturday with less on Sunday, Maybe the heat and humidity. Added to this the Lawrencetown MiniFest on Saturday when a good bunch of people went directly to the slope from Shannon.
I had an exciting mingling with ospreys at Shannon on Sunday.
Two ospreys were circling the field at about 200 ft. when I was flying my red Pulsar 3.2m sailplane away to the northwest. I flew to join them and started to go upward in their thermal. We were joined in the circle by a third osprey and later by a fourth who did not stay long. We flew the thermal together for about 6 minutes gaining altitude to about 400 ft and drifting towards the southeast. At this time I decided to leave and return to the field.
During the flight the model and ospreys were quite close and on a couple of occasions an osprey would take evasive action. They generally did not mind flying with a model and made no attempts to approach the model. This has also tied in with previous encounters with them at Shannon and Lawrencetown.
