Here's a question:
What time do most of you arrive at Shannon Park on weekends? I'm wondering because I am planning to arrive at SP a little bit earlier (~9:00) (I usually arrive ~10:30) if the weather holds back and stays nice for the weekend.

Re: Timing
If it's decent weather there is usually someone there at 8am .....earlier in warmer temps. If not, go over to Tim's and return at 9am.

Re: Timing
I would like to be there this weekend as well but it’s looking like the wind may be a bit lively for me and my Spectra!

Re: Timing
Aiden,
Some of the real "keeners" arrive for flights starting as early as 7am (or even earlier and waiting for this time when we are permitted to fly based upon our lease!). I tend to arrive at 9:30am or so but it all varies. Wind is definitely a factor and currently - subject to change - winds will be building throughout the day Saturday and into Sunday. We'll see what really happens or when the forecast is changed. As you know, winds are lightest in the early morning.

Re: Timing
Yes, wind is definitely a factor in timing but as also mentioned there is a bit (or a lot) of wind this weekend. Hopefully it holds off, if it is not too I have a plane to maiden, the FT Mini Guinea (depicted half finished in my profile photo) It is a twin engine plane and if all goes well this would be my first twin and first plane without dihedral or polyhedral.
