Lots and lots and lots of wind this weekend on Saturday and Sunday. But we made up for it on Monday. What a morning. Early frost but it warmed up to 10°C. Quite a few flyers out. Lots of planes in the air. Lots of smiles and fun!
We welcomed Paul and sons Evan and Nathan to SP this morning. Luckily, I had the club Apprentice so we took them up for an introductory flight. Unfortunately, towards the end of this there was a distinctive crunch and a plane was grabbed by "the" tree. What fortune that Paul - the very person who we had for an introductory flight - had an extension ladder with him! And thanks to him for letting us use it to rescue the Apprentice.
Reminds me of Thanksgiving from just 2 years ago when a similar thing happened. See viewtopic.php?f=23&t=5140.
