Well... Saturday was a bit windy so I am not sure who ventured to the field but Sunday was really GREAT early in the morning. Lots of flying. Many times at our 5-pilot maximum threshold on the flight line. Lots of smiles and a few new planes to enjoy too.
Nice to see Josh back at SP with his glider. Potential new member Carl was at SP again to check us out.

I took some footage of Mark’s Vampire as well. It’s not Oscar worthy, but I hope it is enjoyable!

Great flying on the Vampire, Mark. I had my Durafly Vampire from 2014-2016. Glad to see you didn't tear the retracts out on the first grass landing like I did. Eventually I added spoilerons (dual aileron set-up) to shorten the glide distance.
Let me know if you ever want to fly it from the Beaver Bank paved runway.

P40s. Intersting facts on the "Hawk".
The British provided the names to most us warbirds. The first Hawk was the P36.
They gave this an inline engine to make the P40. P40b and p40c was called Tomahawks. P40d and p40e called Kittyhawk. P40F and later versions called Warhawks.
