Halifax Electric Flyers Association

The weather on Saturday was fantastic for some winter flying at Shannon Park! The parking lot was quite full with probably 12-15 flyers and a few people stopping by to check us out. Winds were light and temperatures were "warm" for January between 2°C and 5°C. Fun times and a few members re-joining for 2020. Great to have you back to enjoy the camaraderie of our HEFA club!!!

Hey Brian I love your iPhone pictures! I like seeing who's flying at ShannonPk! Kind of keeps me in touch with how young you are all looking - must be the stress free Hobby and outdoor air. Lucky you had some milder temperatures for flying in January. Unfortunately we don't do any Winter flying at our field as it is too cold and windy for our members.

Tom....! We're missing you buddy! Hoping that all is well for you and family in Ottawa and that your Christmas season was enjoyable.

Yeah... we're lucky to be able to fly at SP on the nicer days in the winter. Good turnout last weekend although we've had a dumping of snow today... I would say easily 30cm in Halifax. Oh well... good for the water planes, right?
