Long Labour Day Weekend... August 31/September 1/2, 2019

Another fun and busy day at SP.

Lots of members at the field and lots of flying and learning in the pits. Winds were mostly from the west meaning a cross-wind but were light and very manageable.

Jerry soloed his Apprentice today. Everything went well. The landing was a little hard and resulted in a broken front wheel clevis. But otherwise it is ready to fly again! I also had him up on the club Apprentice for some more approaches from the right and more landing practices.

We had some new visitors to SP this morning. A mother / daughter team. I believe that their names were Natalia and Vasa. Vasa is the daughter who is super keen at 12-yrs old. She had a Parrot Mambo (63 grams) with her as well. She was up on the club Apprentice for a go.

Tomorrow is looking great as well. September 1. That milestone that many have been looking for as MAAC coverage will be in-effect September 1, 2019 to December 31, 2020. Similarly, our HEFA membership fees will follow a similar calendar.... HEFA is $50; MAAC is $92.
