Well.... the weather is not the best for this long weekend but that did not keep away over a dozen flyers this morning at SP. Winds were very light and the fog in the harbour led for some extra challenges.... and kept it cool.
Nice to see that Bob S purchased a new Zero from MSC this morning. That is planned to be maidened next weekend. Fingers crossed!
Great to be able to take Rob, a friend of Bruce L, up for two training flights on the Apprentice. We quickly went from beginner to intermediate and Rob was getting a feel for the plan and for the controls. Great flying!
The weather forecast for the rest of the weekend looks unsettled and is changing regularly. Hopefully we will be able to get out again this weekend!!!

Hi Brian,
I left before you arrived (before 9 am). I flew 10 flights between my Tundra, my quad and my heli. Bob was nice enough to let me fly his Ultimate^2 - thanks Bob. Here is a video of Bob flying it:

Re: Canada Day Weekend - 2019
Well, I spent the afternoon getting my 10cc Ultra Stick ready for a Canada Day maiden at Shannon....yes it's 10 ozs over the weight limit, but with that big ole fat 60 inch wing, along with flaps, and the excellent job that Bob has done on mowing the field, I don't see a problem. Mind you, I would do it as a "demo flight", as recommended by our past Regional Director of MAAC, which just means that the field should be cleared of other flyers when the flight takes place.
The problem is the weather..! The rest of the Holiday Weekend weather appears to be in the toilet..!
But hey, Thursday, July 4th, looks like a real keeper, sunny and 25 degrees, is anybody else off that day?
This "stick" can even be hand-launched, check out the video..
