...more progress,
...as mentioned earlier, you get one sheet of "instructions" with this kit but it's just a diagram showing all the pieces, sort of a 3D view of all parts in place. I guess you call that a "pictorial view". So, .. much thinking has to take place so you don't box yourself in and wind up taking it apart again.
..first picture shows the two rear halves temporarily joined with the EDF unit centered, and the fan unit gets attached to the left side half of the fuselage.
..next two pics show rear fuse halves separated so that the front fuse section (which was assembled earlier) can now be attached to the left rear fuse half.
..next pic shows the remaining section of the rear fuselage attached, so that the fuselage is complete.
..next pic shows the location of the ESC and wiring, which will be sandwiched between the fuselage bottom and the wing.

Re: Mirage 2000 (by Fly-Fly) project..
Well, my February project is coming along nicely....but I'm running out of February..!
..because I took on the task of cutting an access to the fan unit for servicing, this meant I had to come up with small wooden pieces to re-secure the fan covering foam piece. It all takes time.
..tonight I installed a canopy latch, and I'll paint the inside of the canopy black. That's the easy way out..!
Next major thing is to double check the wing servos and then glue the wing to the fuselage. (Yes, I have made sure the fan turns in the correct direction..!)

Well, if that doesn't sound like a "setup" ?

Re: Mirage 2000 (by Fly-Fly) project..
At a 2pm ceremony today, the marriage of Mirage WING and Mirage FUSELAGE took place..!
The union was consecrated with large quantities of PL polyurethane glue along with smaller quantities of BSI 30 minute epoxy glue.
The ceremony took only a brief 10 minutes; however it is our hope that this Union stays together for at least many months...if not several years..!
We look forth to both Wing and Fuselage going forward in blue skies, drawing 75 amps from a 6S lipo, and producing 1600 watts of fun, fun, fun..!

Re: Mirage 2000 (by Fly-Fly) project..
My apologises for not keeping this build thread going, but after I found a good storage location for this model, up high in the top of my garage, it sort of got put on the back burner. So a week or so ago I got it back down to connect up the elevon linkage, install a Lemon receiver and prep it for it's maiden flight.
The lemon receiver has stabilization built in to it, with three different modes of operation including the ability to turn off the gyro effects. The 20 page instruction manual does suggest turning OFF the stabilization for the maiden flight. This is a hand launch model and my hand launch partner (John L.) also suggested turning OFF the gyros for the maiden flight. Thinking that I had the situation covered, I went against these two recommendations, and I paid the price..! Where I believe I went wrong was not turning down the "gains" on the gyros to minimum for the maiden flight. (the factory settings are between 10 and 2 oclock and came set at 12 oclock)
So what happened..? The throttle was opened to produce 1700 watts, (85 amp draw from a 6S lipo pack), the launch was great, about 20 degrees upward, followed immediately by the elevator gyro kicking in enough "down" that the nose was slammed into the turf...snapping it off and crumpling it up. Wow, what a humbling hobby..!
No other damage, except to one's ego or pride, or whatever..! The nose shall be rebuilt, and the gyro gains turned down as well as being turned OFF for the re-maiden.
The picture is a "before" shot taken prior to the so called maiden..
