BLOODY WONDER ...from Flite-Test
Picked up a $39. Flite-Test kit called BLOODY WONDER from Great Hobbies last month. Should be a quick build.
Not as quick as this speedy video though.. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wRf0j80HNiM
Check out this flight video of a Big Kid pulling a streamer and doing a VTO... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7dfZmRQHopM

Re: BLOODY WONDER ...from Flite-Test
So I opened up the kit and there was no hardware package. Seems the early kits came from FT this way, however the later kits included hardware and not as an "extra".
I put in a complaint to Flite-Test and within hours got a reply asking for my address as they were sending me the missing hardware.
..another happy customer..!

A SIG Wonder clone. That was an awesome plane of some years ago, a blast on a glow .15 and a rocket on a glow .25! Still have mine around somewhere.

Actually they bill it as a combo between the "Funbat" and "Sig Wonder" from yesteryear..able to take off vertically with the Funbat tail.

Couple of pictures of the build. Nicely lasered dollar store foam, assembled via the trusty hot glue gun.
Pictured in the "vertical take-off position" as well.

You may remember the fun bat I built a number of years ago from the original designer plan on RC Groups. It was a hoot until I "pile dived" it at Shannon. I used a 2212/6 with a 6*5 APC prop and 3s 2200 pack. Its a great flyer and would be fun to combat . Very stable. This one is a knock off by flite test and likely flies just as well. I used the gear from this one in a profile foamy f22 that I also destroyed. It is also similar to the lanier shrike. Maybe you fly it at the indoor next week ?

Steve, I'm going to "cover" it with Ultrakote and probably use that same motor you mentioned (2212-6) so it will be heavier, however I'm hoping it will also be stronger.
So it will be an outdoor model. I can't remember your "fun bat" unfortunately...but I chuckled when I read you "pile dived it"...!
