Re: New from PZ, 40" Extra 300
Hi Guys,
I know this is an old threat but i have been looking at getting a 3d trainer and took a close look at this plane.
After reading just about everything i could find, what i have discovered is that this plane might be a great third plane for me after the T-28, but even PZ state that this plane is not intended as a 3D flyer. apparently it's wing loading is too high and the foil shape is not symetrical.
there is actually a service notice on PZ site stating this.
I did find a few guys online that have inverted the wings and are flying 3d but the plane apparently has some flying characteristics that are not good for noob's like me when you shift the battery back to make 3D capable.
So, has anyone bought this around here? what do they think of it?
Brian

LOL...
I get your point Jeff and have been practicing on the sim for a while now.
thanks for your advice on the PZ...it's a shame really as the plane looks sweet!
I have thought about an epp plane but thought they were all too heavy.....
I'm about a month away from buying something so i appreciate all of the info you can send my way.
Thanks!
