HobbyKing Sbach EPO 1400mm

Hi everyone!

Well, i maidened my new HK Sbach this afternoon at SP.

This plane is really a good deal i think! I bought the whole thing for around $180 delivered. It includes everything except the reciever.
During the build, one of the aileron servos died....just lost all internal geering! So, i went to MSC and bought 2 MG82's and put them in.

really easy mod! Wires were easy to run.

I also, thru my own fault, broke the prop adaptor trying to tighten it too much, so i had a machinist friend of mine make a new piece, and i was ready to go.

Had 2 flights this afternoon and have to say, for a plane that is this cheap, it is a good deal. She flies great, the motor and ESC don't overheat, and it has lots of power....hovered it a bit today despite the wind.

If anyone is considering this plane, i would give it a 7 out of 10!

Brian

Hey Brian

I remember you telling me about this plane.

Glad you had a good maiden.

You're too modest, Brian. I watched you go through a pretty decent IMAC Basic on your second flight on the plane, I think you've got a winner. Too bad about the servos, but I recall you have had trouble hyperextending servos before taking them to the limit. Good flying.
