Well, last night I used Velcro pads to position the Mantis ESC and Lemon 0052 receiver in the fuselage, and I found a good spot for the Tattu 3S1300mAh Tattu 75C battery that gave me a CG between 87-90mm from the leading edge, so I think I am basically ready for the maiden flight as soon as weather and ground conditions permit. Soft snow would be fine, or grass, but hard icy mud would be a bumpy landing.

I have in the meantime been working on getting everything programmed with my TX16s transmitter. Here is a very brief youtube video showing my setup.

Looking great!!!

Sunday is currently looking more favourable than Saturday... with very light winds and "decent" temperatures. We'll have to wait and see how much it changes between now and then!

Yea Brian, we will see if this weekend happens or not!

I just weighed the plane with the 1300mah tattu; it comes to a rather bulky 1001g. Without the battery it’s 880g.

This is evidence of my inexperience or of the weight of the painted fuselage; it should be closer to 960g.

But in our windy climate this may not be a big deal.
