Great Planes Kunai 1.4mtr electric glider

Unread post by Ghost Flyer » Fri Oct 31, 2014 12:42 am

Well, the attractive looking E-Flight Adagio 280 is still on back order from the manufacturer, and while waiting for it, a new glider has come into the scene. It's from Great Planes, and it's called the Kunai. The word, kunai, appears to have come from a versatile Japanese tool, used for masonry work and possibly for very different matters by ninjas. I can see a similar shape between the tool and glider, in pictures. In fact, on the wing sticker, on the plane, the bottom of the K has the kunai shape, and plus, the fuse looks kind of kunai-ish. It looks pretty slick. It also makes the coolest sound when gliding by (motor off). You can hear it in all the videos. It sounds like a full-sized Schleicher ASK 21 flying by at 280 km/h, or as someone pointed out, a speeding Tie Fighter (from Star Wars).
