Winds 20 gusting to 40 kph from north or northeast over the next couple of days.
Unlikely to be usable for Lawrencetown.
Days of reliable sea breezes have not arrived yet.

Strong winds really not needed for the slope. Most all models will perform well at 10 kph and the lighter ones at 5 kph.

This cold wind we have been having is frustrating, not just for the cold, but also because it is from the north. Lawrencetown really prefers a wind more from the south. Wait for a day when small bits of fog are in the harbour. Often that means a wind from the south. I have flown glow planes on the slope without even taking the prop off. Just chuck it over the edge. It is surprising what the slope will accept. Worst case is a climb down to the bottom to retrieve it.
