Sunday Slope Soaring
I had a busy day of biking in the heat on Sunday, but at the end of the day, my wife in her infinite patience obliged me by filming some slope soaring with my SoaringModels Mini Dart 2 fibreglass DLG. At only 140g AUW, it can soar on the slightest breeze, and it’s 1M wingspan makes it conveniently portable.
I threw it off a long berm and enjoyed a bit of gentle sloping in some truly picturesque conditions. The mini dart 2 is a capable, beautifully made, affordable entry into Discus Launch Gliders, or gliders in general, and I’ve found that it is also extremely fun on the slopes. You can get these at hyperflight or through Armsoar in North America.
