Marcus Teipel, an Air Canada pilot from Ontario has a layover in Halifax on Tuesday and is a Sailplane flier and wants to fly at Lawrencetown and will have a couple of models. Weather forecast is for SW winds 13 to 19 kph which is directly on the slope. It's not often we get an out of province flier and if we can muster a few fliers it would be great. If anyone can make it contact me at spinifex@eastlink.ca or 902 462 3953.
Marcus will also be in Halifax on August 11th.

Re: Lawrencetown flying Tuesday 6 August
Looks like everything is on schedule for slope flying at Lawrencetown tomorrow (Tuesday) afternoon. I will be picking up our Ontario visitor in early afternoon and expect to be at Lawrencetown around 2:00 to 2:30pm. Winds are forecast at 13-20 kph from SW , just perfect. Even if you don't have a model but would like to see how slope flying is done, come along.

Re: Lawrencetown flying Tuesday 6 August
I've just received a call From Marcus Teipel and his schedule has changed and he won't be in Halifax tomorrow.
However with the nice forecast, I would still like to get out on the slope. I'm planning on being there about 2pm.
So come on out anyway and we'll have some fun.

Re: Lawrencetown flying Tuesday 6 August
Only ended up with Andrew Smith and myself out at Lawrencetown today,
Conditions were excellent with a southerly breeze about 15 kph to start, increasing to around 20 kph. I had a flight of over an hour with my 4 metre Pulsar, while Andrew flew his 3.2 metre Pulsar. Beautiful flying conditions.

Agree John, today 's conditions were perfect. Lets hope we have the same weather in 2 week for Slopefest. I did 28 min on the 3.2 on my 3.2.m. Battery was getting low so brought her down.
Have a good trip to Ireland John.
