While perusing a couple of build sites on the Grumman Goose I came upon some talk about another "amphib" known as the Emily and of a modeller named John Hawkins......the two names ran a bell as I remember a visit to a float fly held by HRCC members some 5 or 6 years ago.
Sure enough, its the same John H..!
Here is a link to his design..

There's a lot of talent amongst our Nova Scotia fliers. They certainly don't have to take second place to the rest of the crowd.
They just don't flaunt their talents.

Re: "Emily" from NS builder John Hawkins..
Bill, this post caused another walk down memory lane. after some time searching my extensive photo collection I found the pictures of the "emily" on the very last CD in my collection. I thought I had organized things pretty well, but guess not.
But I did see lots of pictures of my grandson growing up, my various dogs when they were young, etc. Thanks for that!
so I set up a page with John's "emily" and some pictures of his other self designed flying boat, an "albatros". all photos made during a couple of the fun flys he held at his home in chezzetcook.

Thanks Al and John for adding to this thread..!
Those pics are fabulous Al, great to relive the past..!
I'm thinking you need an "online vault"...a place to dump those many RC pics that you have stored away. Of course you would want to zap them with your own accreditation symbol to preserve their authenticity. Just another winter project for you..!
