Re: SHEARWATER GYM - HEFA Indoor flying
Another good and consistent turnout at the Gym today....about a dozen flyers including Tom with his brand new Ember..gotta love those Embers..!
Just a reminder...NO INDOOR NEXT SATURDAY March 27/10 ...then on Easter Saturday, April 3rd, it's back to 1.5 hour sessions with this one being 3:30 to 5 pm
Check post #2 above for other times..

April 3 - indoor flyin time
Hi Folks,
Today's flying event is from 3:30 - 5:00 PM (1.5 hrs). I wish I could make it, but I'm stuck at work until 5 PM. Hopefully, there will be a good turnout, to help cover the cost.
Cheers,
Andrew

Wow, thanks guys... my 7 year old can't stop yapping about his flight of the Blade mSR - the Christmas list was revised on the drive home!
I also appreciated the chance to get a couple packs on the micro 4Site (what a sweet little thing), and some no-wind time for nose in on the Blade 400.
Last but not least, it looks like I'm paid up for the year - just need to get my paperwork in.

Re: SHEARWATER GYM - HEFA Indoor flying
Just a reminder that we only have TWO indoor flying sessions left at the Shearwater Gym for this Spring.
April 17th -- 3:30 - 5:00 PM (1.5 hrs)
April 24th - 6:30 -- 8:00 PM (1.5 hrs)
The way this "contract" worked was for HEFA to "pay up front" for all seven sessions...and if we close out these two last dates with a dozen flyers each we will have succeeded financially with this project.
We were down some over the Easter weekend, which was to be expected...so I encourage everyone to come out to these last two dates.
It has been suggested to allow time slots (say 10 minutes, alternating) for the "speedy" craft and the "slow" craft.
I think we all agree that the Embers need some protection from the P51's ...!
I have a Diddlebug that was designed for a five year old....so I'm hoping I can master it..!

Let it be known throughout the land, that I, the Great Mur-aldo shall attend these last two indoor events. Of coarse, I will need at least 1/2 hour of the time alloted to prepare, and then I shall dazzle you with my magnificent indoor flying skills for the remaining 1 hour.
Please save your applause till I complete my performance! Thank You!

Ok, but will the P-51's be going up to dodge and dogfight with the big *ss foamies?
ATC seems to be complicated with the variety of aircraft that show up.

Re: SHEARWATER GYM - HEFA Indoor flying
I have had the P-51 for about 8 months and have flown it about 4 times at SP. I also have the micro Sukhoi and the mCX. I have NO indoor flying experience what so ever! I just thought I would show up to support the club... can't have the club loose money!!!astroflyer wrote:murray, you bought a p-51?????
