Looking for parts

Unread post by the-mailman » Fri Apr 12, 2019 3:05 pm

My T28 didn't like the cold this winter and on an especially soft landing, the section of the motor mount that holds the bushings for the nose wheel shattered. Too may pieces to glue and no one seems to carry a replacement. Luckily there is enough firewall left to build and attach a mount plate for a new nose wheel. So, I'm looking for a pair of 3/32 inch nose wheel bearings or the kit with the complete assembly. Dubro used to sell a 1/2A nose wheel kit, but it's no longer made. I hope someone out there can help me out so my T28 doesn't become a wall hanging.

Thanks

You could always turn it into a hand launch / belly lander.

Bruce, are you certain this is not available from Dubro.... here is their site; https://www.dubro.com/products/steerable-nose-gear

If still available, I have in the past gone through Geoff at MSC and he delivered within 10 days.

Thanks Bill, but that's the 5/32 size. I need 3/32.

Found this replacement on thingiverse. Took a bit of filing but it fit great. Will test it out this weekend.
