Quiet at SP on Saturday as many of our members took in the Fun Fly with our friends at Shearwater. This was a great event with lots of flying, some oohs and ahhs with the FAST turbine planes (clocked at upwards of 297km/h), great food and even better company.... now only if the weatherman had provided just a little more heat!!! It is summer, right?
There are a lot of videos on Facebook, for any of those who might be interested in looking. Here are some:

Sunday was great too. No wind and sunny. Very much a training day with a line-up for training. I do apologize to those who were not able to get as much training as we would have liked:
- Steve (and Benjamin)
- Shelley
- Ron
- Paul
- Gaetan
- Paul has been to the field a few times and is really getting the hang of the landings. He was up with Marc R with his new plane for a maiden. I've recommended just another flight with the Apprentice and then a buddy box with his new plane - and then he should be good to go too with his wings!
- Ron's sim time is really showing. More great landings and easy take-offs and lots of control during flight. Well done.\
- Shelley is progressing really well and is learning the skill of pushing the plane around in the sky. Easy of the sticks and little corrections! Fantastic!
- Gaetan is very experienced in the QUAD field and is flying his new DJI Mavic Pro... moving now to learn planes. Definitely more of a handful. He was up with Rick on a Fun Cub.
I also grabbed a few Phantom shots of the fog hanging in the narrows. The MacDonald Bridge appeared to be "socked" in.
