Helicopter workshop

Unread post by nunyabizniss34 » Fri Nov 16, 2012 9:20 pm

Hey guys, I am just trying to see if there is any interest from club members in a heli workshop some time in the near future. I can cover things like basic setup, tips on beginner settings and repair, or any other topic that would be useful. If there is anyone interested in something like this, let me know here and we'll see if we can set something up.

It's a great idea Colin, and I don't own a heli..!

I think with the potential for new heli owners between now and Dec 26th, there should be considerable interest over the next several weeks. If there is and you need help with a location to put on a class, let us know and we will assist.

thanks for this,

I think it is a great idea too Colin!

With all the BNF helis available now most people won't know how to setup one from scratch or how to repair (until they have to learn the hard way).

I'd be interested as well.
I've an MCPx and a DX8 so I did the lazy thing and downloaded the settings from Spectrum. Works well but I'd like to learn how to do it correctly from scratch.

I would like to take part in this too Colin.

You can put it on at our shop if you like.

When do you think this will take place?

I am thinking either a Friday evening or possibly on a Saturday or Sunday afternoon. I need some input from people on what they want to learn, for example there are a couple guys that are doing their first builds soon, so perhaps we could do one of those as a learning project? That would cover a variety of topics. Any suggestions are welcome :)

Hi Colin,

you are more than welcome to run a workshop at my shop in Dartmouth if you like?

You can do some indoor flying there also...

Brian
