I am very interested in the shannon park electric flying, and slope soaring at Lawrence town.
Is there a weight limit at Shannon park? How do I get to the Lawrence town soaring sight, and you still allowed to fly there (I am MAAC insured)?

Hi Paul,
There is a weight limit of 6 pounds at the Shannon Park field when there are several flyers in the air. We also can go up to 8.5 pounds on a plane with a light wing loading with an example being the Efite Carbon Cub. Only ONE of these type of models is allowed to fly at any given time, so we classify it as a "demo flight".

The Lawrencetown site is on the old #7 Hwy outside of Dartmouth, and yes we are allowed to fly there. (Correction..it's on Hwy 207)

Come out to Shannon any weekend morning when the weather is suitable.

Many thanks Bill. One question that I didn't think of, and which is probably the most important is can I fly any time of the day, any day of the week.

Regards

Paul

Our lease on the Shannon field allows electric flying between the hours of 7am and 9pm, seven days a week, however we also caution members about flying when the school is in session. This is discussed further with each member when they join our organization, and are given a two page sheet of Club rules.

A slight correction to Bill's post. The Lawrencetown slope soaring sight is on Hwy 207, not the No. 7.

Cheers,
