We have several helis that fly at Shannon. Yours looks like it may be have to be checked. HEFA (MAAC club 711) has a association rule requiring a check for "aircraft" with a weight over 3.5 lbs and a max of 6lbs.

Drop by Shannon Park for a visit Sat and Sun mornings if the weather is fit.

Over that weight at 12lbs and 8lbs I guess I won't be flying there. I may bring out one of my smaller heli. I have one at 5.4lb that may be ok?

What time do you start flying?

Hi Jerry,

I'm not sure we have to have the same weight restrictions on Helicopters. I will check on that.

I am one of the heli enthusiasts that Andrew mentioned and new heli pilots are very welcome. Well actually everyone who flys electric is welcome!

Let me know what time you guys fly on Sat or Sun I will try to visit. I will bring some gear, you guys can decide if they acceptable to fly at the park.

Hi Jerry,

Typically anytime after sunrise if the weather is fit, although the "crowd" usually doesn't show up til around 9am.
