Good Day

My my name is Dave McIsaac and Im originally from Pictou and have been living and working in Dartmouth for the last 8 years.
I started flying Helis about 6 months and since started flying electric rc planes
Of course Im an addict now and look forward to learning more about the Hobby.

I so far have been flying 3 and 4 channel micros and recently purchased a T28d trojan which I enjoy.

I met some of you the past weekend and hope to meet more in the near future.

Hi Dave and welcome

You must have been the chap that was "occasionally" keeping the micro T-28 in the air :P

Just kidding ;)

In case you're not aware, the club does have 1-2 club cubs (try saying a few times quickly) with buddy boxes that we use to teach. Normally each weekend, 2-4 instructors stand ready to teach and assit new club members if needed. All you need to do is become a MAAC member if you're not already a member https://www.maac.ca/renewal/renew.php?mode=apply . This provides us and you with liability coverage.

In addition, a membership to our HEFA club is the norm as the club is our liaison with MAAC and negotiates the use of the Shannon park field as well as our alternate field in Porter's Lake. HEFA also pays for the club cub trainers. If you're looking for an instructor, check this link on our forum viewforum.php?f=47 which is the HEFA New Pilot Training and normally instructors will state their availability or you can ask.

I started a few years back with nitro planes and after having stopped in 2002, have just re-started but this time with electric. If you have any questions, please don't be afraid to ask. Hope to see you at the field.

Thanks Guys!

Im sure I will scatter plane parts over fields for many years to come :)

I filled out the forms earlier today and dropped them off with payment to Chris Dean.

I will try to make Shannon Park this weekend for some training.

Cheers
