Fatal accident with model sailplane

As one of the World Cop contests was being flown in Taiwan a sailplane hit a woman and killed her.
The pilot was David Cortina from the US. These slope racing models can do 120 mph in the straight. It looks like loss of control as the impact was 500 metres from the course.
