In a recent report, the FCC has proposed a fine of 2.8 million US dollars over the importation and sale in the US, of RF transmitters, that do not meet FCC rules. The docket describes the sale of Video Transmitters in unauthorized frequencies and non compliant output power, by HobbyKing USA operating under various corporate identities. When requested to provide details to the FCC about the devices, no response was received by the FCC.

The big question might be, "Will Industry Canada the agency that regulates such standards in Canada, go after blocking the importation of such devices from China, Hong Kong or the US?"
They probably should be making sure that transmitters meet FCC or ICES rules.
