Strange blue bent winged bird over ASRCM tonight

Unread post by astroflyer » Thu May 31, 2018 8:00 pm

There were repeated flashes of bright blue over ASRCM tonight. Powered by six cells, Shawn Maloney's new Corsair took to the air and flew with a distinctive flourish. A very nice airplane which appears to have no bad habits.

You did a super job of putting her together Bill.

Wow..!!!!!!!!
Thanks Al, for both the "compliment", and the pictures..! That last shot will be used as a screensaver on my PC for sure.
I'll throw you a challenge now....I'd love to see a video sometime..!

So glad it worked out well; Shawn had perfect weather for what looked like a perfect maiden flight.

Just a note regarding running that Scorpion motor on a 6S pack. The Kv is around 700, so watch that the amps don't get too high. I had a similar system shut down last summer when I mistakenly ran a 6S instead of a 5S. She must really haul with a 6S.

Thanks again Al ...excellent photos..!

I'll pass the motor warning along Bill, but you cannot tell these fighter jocks anything! lol
