CC3D Boards

I've just watched a video which describes that the OpenPilot s/w for the CC3D board is no longer supported. They are recommending a "CC3D Revolution" board with LibrePilot s/w, which very much piggy-backs from the original OpenPilot s/w.
As many of you know, the CC3D board is an interface between the radio receiver and the ESCs that control the motors. This is very popular. Other variants of controllers that are also popular are the KK2 boards and the Naza-M boards. All of these have gyros and accelometers to maintain proper flight control with the multicopter. The CC3D is great as it allows for various angle modes (sedate, medium, fast) as well as tuning parameters, minimum speeds, etc etc etc.
Their video describes a fairly new board which is much more powerful than the original CC3D with extra degrees of freedom (10 vs. 6), radio telemetry to a PC for following a map, GPS, barometer, etc. The entire controller with these functions is available for just under $120. It certainly looks interesting!
One link for the controller and accessories: http://www.banggood.com/CC3D-Revolution ... engshaoyun

The YouTube channel is full of useful RC tips and is fairly comparable to the quality of RCModelReveiws (https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCahqHs ... Mmj2D5i1Vw).
One thing about this hobby - it is always changing!
