FPV 250 Racing

Unread post by RocketManRC » Mon Apr 13, 2015 9:21 pm

I want to credit Chris (aka LordGarak on this forum) for starting my interest in FPV 250 Quadcopter Racing last year and also the fact that RotorQuest has had many different kits in stock over the winter. HobbyKing too of course! And do I have to mention that it was such a long winter so perfect for building things?

At least a few of us have built or are building these and I would like to organize something for testing and flying together.

Anyone with interest or comments please post here!

Here's the link on RQ to the one that I made:

https://rotorquest.com/index.php?route= ... _id=105355

I added nothing but a receiver to that to get it to fly (plus a bit of downloading of software and configuring).

I suppose I better point out that you need a camera, transmitter, video goggles or monitor and an Amateur Radio Operators Certificate from Industry Canada to use it for FPV.

Game on!?

That's great Trevor!

Here is a pretty cool video taken after the organized race in Toronto last February:
